Return Policy
CajunGrocer.com wants every order to arrive in good condition and be handled fairly if something goes wrong. Because we ship both shelf stable grocery items and frozen or perishable Louisiana foods, our return and refund policies depend on the type of product and the condition of the shipment.
Please contact us before returning any merchandise so we can review the issue and provide return instructions when a return is appropriate.
Damaged Products
We take extra care when packing orders so products arrive safely. Glass jars and fragile items may be wrapped with protective cushioning and packed to reduce movement during shipment.
If you receive a damaged product, please contact us within 5 business days after receiving your package. Include your order number, the damaged item name, and photos of the damaged product and packaging when possible.
Please retain all packaging materials until the issue is resolved, as the carrier may need to inspect or collect the packaging.
When valid shipping damage is confirmed, CajunGrocer.com will replace the damaged item at no charge or work with you on an appropriate resolution.
Perishable Food Orders
Perishable food orders are handled differently from shelf stable grocery items because frozen and refrigerated products cannot be restocked or resold once they have shipped.
All perishable food orders are final and are not eligible for return or refund, except when a valid issue is confirmed, such as an expired product or an error made by CajunGrocer.com.
For frozen items shipped by Ground or Home Delivery, please also review our Shipping and Order Information page. Ground shipping carries more transit risk for frozen items, and refunds or reships are not issued for frozen items shipped via Ground or Home Delivery.
Unopened Shelf Stable Items
If you are not satisfied with an eligible shelf stable item, you may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order.
Returned food products must be unopened, unused, and in resalable condition. CajunGrocer.com cannot accept returns on food products where the tamper evident seal has been broken.
Unless the return is due to an error made by CajunGrocer.com or confirmed shipping damage, original shipping charges are not refundable and the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Return Authorization Required
Before returning merchandise, please contact us to request a return authorization number. Returns sent without authorization may be delayed or may not be accepted.
When a return is approved, include your packing slip and return authorization number with the returned merchandise.
